    Hi there,

I'm trying to compile a list of the most popular Irish websites and then see which of these would be willing to exchange links with my own site. The objective is to increase the Google Pagerank of my site (still at 0!) and also to attract more visitors.

It's occured to me that most of my favourite sites are not Irish and so I'm trying to work out what Irish sites to try writing to. According to Alexa.com the most viewed sites in Ireland are:

    (1) Ryanair
    (2) Eircom
    (3) RTE
    (4) Radio Times (slightly odd)
    (5) The Irish Times

None of these are likely to want to have a link to my site.

Can anyone think of any fairly popular sites I could try. If nothing else I'll be finding out about new sites I was otherwise unaware of, which is always fun.

    Thanks in advance,
    Robert

There is only one Irish site I ever visit and that's Boards.ie - are there any other good Irish sites out there?, most of the sites I visit are US or English.

well i'd say the best way would be to pay :( but looking at this page (http://www.google.ie/ads/) i'd say a good combo would cancel each other out

Why aren't other sites linking to you? Think about it.

Is it a good site (in all connotations you can think of)? Have you had any sort of advertising campaign? Have you mailed sites (relevant sites, no spamming) about it? If you offer good service, have a good record and have stuff that people want, they will come. If you don't, maybe you need to re-think your business strategy?

its a link farm. good luck with that.

Seriously. Don't take this the wrong way (I'm not always right after all), but why should people visit you? what have you got to offer a visitor that isn't already offered elsewhere on already established sites?
