is this possible? i was in town today and i bought the hauppauge winTv go card which is supposed to allow digital tv-in through the use of a SCART adapter. the card can find analogue tv, and show them. it can also *find* the 92 digital cable channels (ntl digital), but they don't seem to be able to be viewed.

is there a way around this, am i doing something wrong, do i just need a different tv-in card, and is it even possible to record from digital cable at all?

    any help would be apprecaited.

You can't get any TV cards are designed for Digital Cable. However you can hook your ntl digibox up to the card by connectiong the s-video or composite inputs on the TV card to the scart socket on the digibox with a scart plug adaptor and a audio & video lead. (You can pick them up in loads of places like Power City, Maplin, Peats etc. for a few euro).

I have my ntl box hooked up to mine & it works perfect controlling it on the digibox. :)

well, that's what i have-- i have a lead with a SCART on one end and three leads on the other, two for sound, one for vid. i plugged the vid one into the composite and had a connector to unite the two sound cables and plug that into the line in. the SCART is plugged into the only SCART socket on the back of the NTL box, i still got nothing doin.

what card and tv channel settings are you using?

I have a Pinnacle PCTV Stereo, but u should be able to view it on the WinTV card if you select an option for Compoite video on the software.

I'm not too familiar with Hauppauge WinTV cards though.
