The Detroit Pistons beat the LA Lakers. boo!

Looks like the lakers team is going to split. Malone and Payton are pretty past it at this stage, Shaq is still a monster but Kobe seems eager to test free agency this off-season. I wonder who'll be in the running to sign him?

Kobe has endless choices if he chooses to go ,any team with a lot of salary cap room would take him ,but there could be such a change in lakers that everyone [payto ,malone, phil jackson and kobe] could leaving just Shaq behind...I wanted the lakers to win the Chip but im happy for Larry Brown

Yeah im glad the pistons won (even though im a lakers fan) now the team is forced to realise that a pack of individuals dont gel properly. you need a team unit.

This talk of them not geling is s**t. Lakers dominated the start of the season with the four starts in the line-up. When Malone got injured they fell off the pace. Kobe also injured his shoulder that he had got surgery on during the off season.

so for the lakers to reach the finals at all was an acheivment when you consider the injuries and also Kobe's court case
