I want to get my sat viewing available on a tv in the bedroom, but don't really want to cable the place for it.

Has anyone any experience of the wireless devices you see for sale & if so, any recommendations which ones are best ??

    Thanks

    Andi

I was looking at some of these yesterday. Argos have a few different ones available from about 50 quid up.
I have not used one before, but I know someone who has. They spent about 30 quid on theirs up the north and they said it works perfectly.

yeah they work fine in a bedroom, but as soon as your neighbour goes to use their microwave you get interference. they a pretty sensitive to that sort of thing, i've had a philipsone for around six months now and no probs. go for it, its a damm sight better than running cable all over the place!

yep , I have one made by "one for all" , it works perfectly , apart from picking up interferance from mobile phones ...

    Go for it !

Lidl were doing em for £30 but no more :(

If you get microwave interference change its operating frequency theres 3 or 4 to choose from

if you know someone going to France get them to get you a set - they are cheap in Hypermarkets - I got a et by Metronic (sometimes seen on eBay) for around eur39 last year (in Mr Bricolage).

I had problems with the remote eye part (it the part that passes remote signals) and got into discussions with the company. The net result was that we figured a wireless thermometer was working on 433Mhz (same freq aas the remote eye transmissions _not_ the video) and was interfering. Turning it off did the job,

Anybody ever used one with a Wireless home network? I assume they both work at 2.4Ghz and interfere with each other?

I have a Linkssy WAG54g based wireless network and its not interfering with my video senders or the DECT phone. Quality of picture i sstill excellent...I'm not sure if they are not interfering with the Linksys though - I suffer from occasional wireless drops but this does seem to be a Linksys issue..

I have a Wireless Network (22Mb/s) and Videosender here

I run the Wireless LAN on Channel 1 (1 of 13) and the Video sender on Channel "D" (4 of 4) and I dont have any problems

Basically keep em as far apart on the band as possible and it should be okay
