If you have a compaq that used to have ME on it... youve changed it to XP.. but are selling it and want to put the original version of ME back on it... even though you only have one of those recovery OS disks that came with it... it should still put ME back the way it was when first bought right?

even though there is a different OS on it at the mo?

    thanks

The Compaq "Red Disk™" will completely reformat your disk, reinstall the OS and any pre-installed software that came with it. Just select the "Full Restore" option. It should take about a half hour in total...
