1.2GHz or 512MB and 1Ghz

    Lads,

    Which one should i go for
    a 1Ghz with 512mbs of ram or a 1.2ghz one with 256MB?

    What do you guys think?

    well without telling use what u will mainly be using it for we can only take a guess

    go for the one with more ram

    ill be doing music and photographs..
    nothing too stressful, watching dvds and using it when i go away to store stuff
    what about a wi fi card?
    can i install them later on or do i have to get them inbuilt?

    more ram in this case seems to better than faster cpu.

    although it is easier and less expensive to upgrade your ram afterwards compared to cpu

    Yeah, exactly what I was about to say, memory is cheap at the moment and what you need will likely get cheaper.

    What screen size by the way ?

    ok guys i went for the 14inch ibook, with the ram...

    this is my first mac,
    so it better be good, or im gonna go back to Microsoft forever...

    i was gettin one of them
    but u cant get any more than 32 megs of video ram
    and i need 64+

    might have get a powerbook and declare myself bankupt :)
