    Anyone been? Fun for a long weekend (Fri morn to Mon afternoon)? Never been to Eastern European and would like a city break somewhere beautiful and not too expensive. Would go to Prague, but all my friends have already been and want to go somewhere new.

    Prague has become very touristy,
    Budapest is new Prague of Eastern Europe
    It's pretty happening these days with concerts/events..
    weather is great..
    It's a very cheap city..
    a pint can cost from 70c -> 2.50EUR..

    Make sure to check out the Thermal baths.. (szenchyni are the best)
    There's a big glastonbury style concert from 4th -> 11th Aug..

    "the new prague"..... hardly!, its very different, a big busy city but its nice and worth visiting, lots of stuff to see and do
