While I do think that's hysterical, I also think it's sad....

[sniffle] Oh, for the days of boot camp and chain gangs.. [/sniffle]

ha ha... genius... the little brat deserved this one....

Parents always threaten kids with these things... I've even had those threats myself when I was a kid... "I'm gonna sell that damned megadrive if you dont do your homework..."

And of course you never thought that they would go through with it...

But this kid deserved it... :D

6 ft 3" 13 year old, sounds like he's been on the steroids as well as the Dom Perrignon. :)

what a little dastard! he deserves it...as well as a kick in the pants! :D

I don't think he deserved it. We've all done stupid crazy stuff when we were young. It doesn't mean we should get our favourite possession (sp?) in the world sold by a vindictive, power mad, control freak of a woman.
That kid will never be able to look at, use or own a PS2 without the bitter thought of what his mother did. I think she's ruined her relationship with him for years.
Plus there's the added humiliation of posting up what he did for the entire world to see. Stupid woman imo.

A corkscrew for champagne? Either the son is a bit of a tard or the mother paid 120 nicker for a bottle of Blue Nun...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,367 ✭✭✭✭Sleepy

The kids 13, and American. Of course he doesn't know how to open Champagne properly!

It's a bloody good punishment because it's made him pay for his actions. Something a lot of much older people could do with learning...

Hehe this is taken out of some Ebay tactics book I think.

There's another auction on ebay somewhere where a father is selling Phish concert tickets because his son got drunk, and crashed his car into a tree, so his tickets got sold as punishment.

    Serves the little dastard right.

What I did notice though is he is still - $50 dollars cause he only got $122 for the ps2 while his son wrecked $170 worth of possesion.

Wreckon he will sell something else of his sons?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,048 ✭✭✭Lainey

pretty harsh lesson............. don't think i could do it.. surely some other way of punishing him..

This is all the rage now, making an intresting story.

Think it is detailed around this site.

The sale only made $124 he owed €177

He deserves a good $53 beating

In all honesty, this is a damn good way to punish the little ****....

Good parenting at its best, horrible to sell the ps2 straight off or give it away, but having the kid watch the bids for it go up... a touch of class...

digging up a great link from rabies on the homour board, a lot of these auctions/selling of items can have some strange and funny background stories

    For sale

It's great to see parents that aren't afraid to teach their kids to expect repercussions from their actions!

Jesus Christ, it's not as though she sold his puppy. It's only a fecking playstation. A harsh punishment, I agree, but maybe it will give the kid a kick in the ass to get a part-time job, then he can buy a new PS2 and he'll have a better understanding of personal responsibility.
