I was trying to add another hardrive to my computer, got it from my old windows 95 machine. computer recognized they were both there (after much coaxing0 but now tells me "missing operating system"

I tried to set it up with just the one hard drive again, but i got a blank screen

    Any ideas?

    (apologies if misplaced)

You should probably go into more detail about what's happening now... when you say a blank screen... do you not even see a POST? o_0

Make sure you have the jumpers set right on the back of the hd, master, slave or cable select but don't have both drives as master/slave don't think that would work

    OK, update

I solved the last problem, had a setting wrong for the HD. now, i have it recognizing them both (yay) but im getting a "Media Test Failure"

    Hard drives are:

10gb Quantum Fireball Plus, Win 2k
    6gb Fujitsu MPC3064AT, Still with Win 95

I tried to run it again with just the 2k HD, but i got the same error. Im terrified that I've broken my HD, because i havent backe it up in a long time

    Help appreciated.....

    Have you this sorted?,
Use partition magic on another machine to format the drive, sometimes a manifacturer have a hidden partition holding all the quick restore details, it could be that?,
Does the Bios support that size of drive?,

    Later.
