I can't wait for this. It's been the best Srvivor EVER! I knew they had a plublic vote in the US for the winner, so it should be interesting how TG4 will show this. Also, let's hope Subtitle Guy dosen't screw up again unlike two episodes we've had before!

Rob and Amber getting engaged was pretty unexpected. It made who won a bit anti-climatic. Amber wwon I feel mainly because she pissed off less people. Jenna I thought was a fool though for not going to the purple rock situation. If Rob had been eliminated then, she would have had a great chance. As it was she was left to beat two people.

For all those who were left wondering what Jeff meant when he was talking about the surprise announcement that had been advertised in the States and then cut out here (thank you TG4!!)...

Rupert was awarded a second prize of a million for topping an internet poll on the official Survivor website.

Yeah, there was the usual reunion show, plus an extra show called "America's Tribal Council". In America's Tribal Council, Jeff Probst ran a kind of award show, where it was decided (from all 8 series) who was the best looking male, best female, funniest survivor moment, most dramatic survivor moment, best villain, etc.

As Doodle Sketch said, Rupert was awarded a million quid by the american public.

It was a fun show. Hope TG4 show it.

I just saw the repeat show and Rob and Amber getting engaged was quite a shock.

will there be many more survivors after this one ? , will there be any at all ?

edit : survivor 8 to be held in the south pacific (vantuatu , on 1 or more of its 83 islands )

Why dont RTE get Survivor instead of co-making/making their own crappy survivor thingy . TG4 : a much smaller budget a much better channel .

Because the rights for survivor would cost too much. Its cheaper to make up their own crappy thing. Same dealio with You're a star/Pop Idol.

Survivor is one of the very, very few "reality" shows I enjoy. Its a real game, not descending into the "I'm on TV, here are my tits" of the voyuer shows of the family and friend destroying varients we have been offered in recen times...

Explain how TG4 have the rights to it then , they hardly have a massive budget .

It's probably because they edit it foir Irish viewers, giving TG4 the oppurtunity to buy the rights for a cheaper price, rather than RTE1/Net2/TV3 buying them, as they wouldn't be edited as much, because they speak English, unlike TG4(altough, a lot of programming on TG4 is in English, so we'd be going around in circles here trying to explain this situation).
