I recieved an item which had the address of my area, but was addressed to my second name, the postal service must have assumed it was mine because of the second name, but its not and I don't know anyone in my area that has the name on the front.
Now I don't want tha albums, but am wondering how or who do I get in contact in returning the items?

Email cd-wow. If you want you can tell them you're willing to let the original owner collect them, or they may ask you to return them.

When you return something with them, they give you a voucher for the postage, so if you don't fancy that, get a once-off hotmail address to mail them ;)

On the back it has the hong kong customs thing
so would i contac the hong kong this? or are they all the same?
I wouldn't be hard arsed selling the cd's on boards at the end of the day its someone/company out there trying to make a profit, maybe if the cd's half intrested me i'd keep them and say nothing but they don't so its not much full for me to put them back in the box they came in and post them back...

Whether you have opened it or not, give it back to the postman, or your local post office.

Our family get post from other people with the same second name about one a week nowadays. It's normally handed back to the postman a day or two later.

Yea but yea see. the thing is, it wasn't addressed to a road in my area, though i'd say I'd know the people in my area with the same second name, name as me.. I cna't think of any with the first name that its addressed too.. as I said, I ahve no intrest whats so ever in its contents. so giving it back is the only thing I can think is whats good insteet of me binning it.. me getting to see the postman is something totally out of my way..
I also opened it ebcause I am expecting a dvd, so thought that was it..

E-mail CD WOW, they have a very good returns policy and will give oyu a gift voucher to cover the cost of postage. I recently returned a DVD i had purchased, as the underside was quite scratched. They gave me an address in England to which to post it, and a few days later I got an e-voucher for £2

Seal it back up, scrawl "delivered to wrong address" across it and stick it in any [strike]phone[/strike] :) post box.

Jaysus people are very good here, I'd have to open it to have a look, if it was crap I'd give it to my postman the next morning. CD-WOW don't deliver anyways, the postman does.

Id think strongely of keeping it if it was something that I like but there's no rock music expect Joe Satriani on CDwow so i'd **** it in the bin.

Ever heard of the song "Return to Sender", Just write that on the packet and as Victor suggested write "Delivered to wrong address" "Person not known here" and sling it in a postbox, and let that be the end of it.

they have emailed the lad in my area, gave him my address, its up to him to collect it, my area isn't hudge. but they have also offered me a free dvd for my honesty(my first time ever being honest, serious!)

Hahahahahaaaa, this should really be moved to the Humour thread...really...it should...

Are you sure your wee brother it's sealing people's credit card numbers and ordering it through them?
Maybe he can't count house numbers?

Why not try putting the original parcel into another envelope...and post it again to the address on the front of the original envelope. See if it arrives in the right place this time? Maybe it was a one-off mistake...? - the postman maybe had a bad hangover or something - it happens to the best of us ya know...
