Watched it last sunday and I was in stitches laughing.

Probably the best reality show I've seen to date.

Right. Explain the premise that this show is based on to me.

I only caught the end of the repeat tonight, but it looks interesting. I have no idea what's going on however.

    Imaginary game show.

The premise is two people, "bride" and "groom", must convince their familes they are getting married and if they do they get 1 million dollars. They have to pretend they have just met, and have fell head over heels in love.

The catch, the groom isn't playing a gameshow at all, and is in fact an actor. After making a convincing performance as a boyfriend, he thens becomes a slob, and his fake family have "issues" which embarress the brides family.

Que the bride to be's parents going mental at the bride due to her insanity and the bride left crying because the groom is a nut case.

    All in good fun.

It isn't that great but it's sometimes funny.

The bride is also a serious hotty, which always helps.

Ah very good, yes she is seriously hot.

I had guessed something like that. Obviously the title and the ads had suggested that it was a pisstake, i.e. that he was an actor, but when I saw the show, she was very worried and taking it seriously, so that threw me off.

    Sounds like fun :)

Saw the next part last night. Very good, the woman is living in fear.

I especially love his parents. Nothing un-nerves your bride to be then your mother in law asking if your nipples are big enough for breast feeding and the father taking his pants off in the jacuzzi with her while talking about the karma-sutra.

Can't wait to see what happens when her parents show up.

Stunts on Candid Camera years ago were one thing, but this is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. No, actually make that digging underneath the barrel. :(

If this is what passes for entertainment these days, then God help TV, and God help the way society is going.

So between this, "Seriously Dude, I'm Gay" or what ever it was called, the current direction of reality television is shifting away from playing a game gaainst total strangers, to playing a much crueller game against your loved ones, lying, decieving, and causing as much hurt and anguish as possible in order to win a cash sum?

If I ever found out that anyone I know was involved in something like that, I'd probably kill them...

Yeh i watched it there the other day.

Not usually a huge fan of reality tv but this is pretty funny..

Will the "bride" actually get the million dollars if she completes it or are they gonna say "This guy's just an actor and, get this, there's no million dollars!!! Betcha feel like an idiot now huh?", or wha...?

How many parts are there to the series, didn't think much of the trailer so I didn't watch it but I may review my thoughts and watch it on E4 at the weekend

Stitches laughing at times when watching it.

The "imaginary" boyfriends family were introduced on saturday.

The "mother in law" asked the bride how many children she was going to have and measured up her hips.
This was their first time meeting...

The family also had a food fight at the table.
They are all actors of course which the Bride and her family do not know...
The Brides family meet them in the next episode on Saturday on E4 -should be interesting :D

From the clips,it goes all the way to the wedding
where the father of the bride finally objects
    - lots of fun between this and that though!

The point of the show is to make her parents believe she is gonna get married, not actually get married? Also, you saying you wouldnt do it for a million bucks?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,254 ✭✭✭chewy

wahey she coming to ireland wonder when?? :)

what wth the kilts thing? wtf

it was good show, the look on her face when yerman revealed to her he was an actor ? and yer right there was a money sparkle in the fathers eyes...

Perhaps I'm just a sucker for the cheese, but that finale was amazing!

The dude's speech really brought the family around. Funny though - the state of them. Randi's da is a total legend! Love to meet them when they come to Ireland.
