    Hi,

Just received my IOL Modem, Zyxel Prestige 623R-T1

I have problem connecting to outside, as far as I see, the modem get a correct IP from IOL see below :

    System Status

    System Name : p623r-t1
    ZyNOS F/W Version: V3.40(OO.1) | 11/18/2003
DSL FW Version: TrendChip, Version 0.2.15. ASIC 1.1 AnnexA
    Standard: Multi-Mode

    WAN Information

IP Address: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (removed IP just in case :ninja: )
    IP Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.255
    Default Gateway: MyISP
    VPI/VCI: 8/ 35

    LAN Information

    MAC Address: 00:a0:c5:98:1d:2e
    IP Address: 192.168.1.1
    IP Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    DHCP: Server
    DHCP Start IP: 192.168.1.33
    DHCP Pool Size: 32

I tried ping or even NSLookup but cannot resolve name.

I have read in few post about maybe DNS configuration problem, how can you se the DNS dinamically assigned by DHCP to the WAN interface ? I tried all the diagnostic menu and they all pass successfully.

The default gateway says : "MyISP" should it be something else ie IP address ?

    my ipconfig :

    Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :

Surprised at my DNS and WINS server settings also (with default setting from doc).

Tried these DNS (from another post) :

    or
    Primary 194.125.2.240
    Secondary 194.125.2.241

    Statistics :
    System up Time: 0:23:48
    CPU Load: 3.13%

    WAN Port Statistics:
    Link Status: Up
    Upstream Speed: 128 kbps
    Downstream Speed: 512 kbps
Node-Link Status TxPkts RxPkts Errors Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
    1-PPPoE Up 521 446 0 0 0 0:20:48

    LAN Port Statistics:

Any idea (my network card get the correct IP from the DHCP on the modem) ?
