Just had a quick look at it there, looks pretty cool.

One immediate good point is that it's free, so rip off skate companies can't cash in on it as much (although I'm sure they'll find a way, specialised shoes etc.)

Must give it a go some time, my knees are so banjaxed I can barely walk though.

I saw a thing on Channel 4 about this a while back - 3 French guys running around London. It looked amazing, very athletic and difficult, but could look as cool as skating when done properly.

Another thing about Parkour is that the main goal is simply 'movement'
Finding the most efficient path over an obstacle, moving as gracefully/smoothly as possible.

Parkour can be practised in the city, the countryside etc.
There are a few videos one of the founders training in a forest and there were videos posted on urbanfreeflow a while ago that showed some ppl in the UK doing treejumping!
Basically Parkour from branch to branch and jumps onto the ground from height -- really cool stuff.

If anyof you are interested in this I'd recommend the Urbanfreeflow boards and although there's very few of us at the moment the parkour Ireland site is adding pictures and talking about PK in Ireland all the time.
