    http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/amd_64_bit.html#acp_2d088_2dam

According to overclockers.co.uk they start dispatching them in 2 days.

    3500 (939) - £360
    3700 (754) - £505
    3800 (939) - £505

(Prices inc VAT, and are in sterling).

Just a case of debating if a 3800 is worth it over a 3500 for the ridiculous extra amount it costs... Prolyl wait for more selection of mobos though.

The only 939 mobo out seems to be the Asus A8V Deluxe (Socket 939) Wireless Edition Motherboard (MB-063-AS) which is £90, and ready for shipping, supposedly.

    Just as a follow up...

This place here is selling 3800's for 566 dollars, thats €466, and they ship internationally...

And talk of AMD dropping prices soon instead of keeping them high as proposed is mentioned here.

Just thought those of you who are like me waiting a month or two before buying a 939 cpu would be interested.

probably should have said i was talking about the 3500..
which jes do for about E500..
*duH* sorry ..yeah, 507 as combatcow listed..

american retailers are selling the3500 for about 400 as combat cow said, but they dont ship to anywhere but puerto rico and usa.. :dunno:

i cant find anywhere that as cheap as that, that will ship here. and for some reason or other komplett are not even selling 939s..but guessing by their current prices they would be pretty expensive anyway..

You would want to watch that you dont get hit by customs if you order from US, that'll put up your price pretty quickly.

On another note i was reading somewhere than AMD are saying that there getting on really well with 90nm tech and should be ready to bring then out Q3 of this year.......... dont know how reliable this is (it is AMD for god sake) but it might be worth watching for those people thinkin of 939.

jeebus, is that gonna be another new socket then or will they make some 90nm 939's

    :dunno:

Nah, i think its all fine with 939. Its just from an overclocking perspective the 90nm might be a better option....... and also might bring down prices if AMD are producing them in any bit of a decent quantity.

PS the Socket754 chips have come down in price havent they?

The 939 will be AMDs socket for probalby another 2 generations of CPUs at least which is good, I'm going to wait till BTX and PCI-E come out before I upgrade but it will be to an AMD64 3800 me thinks, assuming I ever get another job :/
