    Can anyone recommend any good Black Library books, specifically 40k? I've read Fire Warrior (of course), and I found out Nightbringer is out of print, which pisses me off. Any good ones?

    I'd recommend the new Inquisitor ones (Malleus, Xenos and Hereticus), plus the Gaunts Ghosts books.

    <On a more helpful note>
    Gaunt's Ghosts tbh.
    And the Eye of Terror book was right well good, nice distorted Chaos worlds.

    The original inquisitor ones (Draco, Harlequin and Chaos Child) are muck.

    The Dan Abnett ones (Xenos, Malleus and Heriticus) aren't bad at all.

    Gaunts Ghosts are pretty good. There's one (Gaunt's Ghosts do WW1) that's poor and read like it was a filler rather than a proper book. They are basically major conflicts from history done in 40K (WW1 and Stalingrad for example)

    There's a couple of short story collections. They're not bad and give you an idea of what most of the authors are like.

    The Caspian Cain books (Caves of Ice and For the Emperor) are very light reading and are okay.

    I don't like Gav Thorps style of writing and didn't like his Kill Team or 13th Legion books.

    The Ragnar books are a bit samey but I like William Kings stuff.

    Soul Drinker and Bleeding Chalice are a nice look at a chapter falling from grace.

    I would second the recommendations of the 'Gaunts Ghosts' novels. I would also recommend the 'Felix & Gotrek' novels

    DaemonSlayer is fantastic (the 3rd book), and it has a very subtle build up to something big if you're watching closely .....

    Does anyone have the 6th ed. (I think) Undead army book for Fantasy? I think there's a Gotrek & Felix story in it... it's upstairs so I couldn't be arsed getting it

    Ah, yes .. how did I forget Commissar Blackadder. These are well worth a read as well.

    I just bought and read the first hundred or so pages of Iron Hands. It's set during the 13th Black Crusade, surprisingly enough. Forget the author at the moment, curse me. It's fairly good so far. Lots of Nurgly ickiness and boltgun fire. It gives a nice insight into the Iron Hands chapter and their hatred of weakness.

    Give it a go.

    EDIT: His name's Jonathan Green.
