Not really sure man. I noticed that increase in yahoo's free e-mail account size.

Ive heard that gmail may be available in July. Lets hope Beta testers get some priority when gmail is officially released! :)

Lets also hope that they re-enable pop3 access for the free accounts. I haven't used my account properly since they removed the pop3 access :(

I wasn't a happy bunny I tell you! In dial-up days, any webmail system was horrible. Especially yahoo's with it's f*cking ads and images :)

Even now with broadband I only login to delete all of the "MrMan has replied to you post on 'How the earth is really flat'" emails :)

That is pretty sweet. Interesting that they are suddenly able to increase everyones email space by more than a factor of 10. This presumably could have been done last year just as easily. Competition from gmail is obviously going to have a big impact on the freemail business..

    Have you tried YahooPOPs?

Its an application that lets you use your yahoo email account with a standard email client (outlook express, thunderbird etc).

Better still just pay for Yahoo! Mail Plus at $19.99 per year. You get 2GB(!) space, no adds or pop-up, no Yahoo Mail signature in your mails & the best feature by far is the disposable mail addresses. You can create new mail address that map to your real address, & give these out instead of your real one. That way when you start getting spammed on one address you can just delete it.
