    Wrong forum.

Four PCs will require a wireless Access Point / Router. I don't know about the cheapest, but I highly recommend the Netgear DG834G for this. It will replace your DSL modem (if its not DSL you're getting then this may not of too much help to you), acts as an easily configurable hardware firewall, a 4-port 100 Mbps switch and a wireless router. Then you need to get wireless cards for each machine (though if some of then are close to the router you can use wired into the switch instead). PCI are good (but if you have a VIA chipset mobo, stay away from any wireless card built on the Atheros chipset) - PCMCIA for laptops. USB ones are pretty crap in my opinion. Also try to get all wireless-G cards to suit the G standard router (for fastest speeds - using even one B card _may_ slow down the whole wireless network, though it shouldnt slow it enough to notice a broadband speed drop, just the speeds between the PCs).
