I am going on a stag this weekend and would like to know is there anywhere in Galway city or near by were you can do paintball or karting?

Is there a lap dancing club near eyre square and is it any good?

Plus what other clubs/pubs or activities that would be good for a stag party in Galway?

    ta.

lap dancing - try the new place that's opened on Dominick street... haven't been there myself, so i can't comment on the quality of the talent.

Karting - erm, there's an alright track in some ****ty town on the outskirts...
Tina (sp) karting near Portumna is a far superiour track... its a bit of a drive out there though.
try calling 050945147 for T Karting...

For paintball you may have to go to crossfire in limerick STAB STAB STAB! For karting there is bound to be somewhere in the city that does it.

Now to lapdancing clubs there is a new one opened up on domnick street (poor taylors bar :( )

It's a fun city and if ye get really really bored just go out to laurel park and shout "Come out ye ****ing pikeys" and it will guarentee a fun time..... bring kevlar.

There's a good kart track in Tynagh, Loughrea which is a few* miles from Galway city.

*about 20. you might want to arrange a bus.

edit: oops, tman mentioned it already.

Oranmore has a reasonable track. (I think it still does anyway). Tynagh has a very large outdoor track and reasonably powerful karts but it's a decent bit outside the city. I've never driven it but anyone I know who has had nothing but praise for it.

"Le Paradis Club" (neé Taylors of Dominic Street) is the new home of what used to be Angels of Salthill. Taylors used to be one of my regular haunts so I'm rather miffed at it's closure. I don't paln on visiting it at any stage. The usual exorbitant lap dancing pricings apply.

(I should really try to stop being distracted mid post and finding half the question pre answered by others)

No, don't come to Galway for your stag. There's too many of the ****in' things on already. Go join the other gob****es in Temple Bar. Please, don't add to the ruination of my favourite part of Ireland!

Kilkenny seems to be a bit of a stag/hen party magnet too, even with the lack of lap dancing clubs (heh). There's also a good kart circuit a similar distance (25 miles) away - its almost in Waterford.

The Oranmore track was outdoor and pretty good, prices were reasonable too.
I'm not sure if it's still actually there, I heard some mumblings about it's possible closure a while back.
    It's called F1 Karting.

Sleepy, feck off, we need their money.

I think its fair that the stag/hen parties are getting a bit more distributed across the country :D

On a busy weekend Quay Street in Galway tends to turn into an unofficial pub full of stag weekenders. I always say that it's not a busy weekend until the city is packed and you've seen at least one pair of oversized plastic breasts during the afternoon.
