Can anyone recommend a good Tarot Card reader or fortune teller in the Limerick/Clare or Tipp area?

Walk up to the first homeless person you see and give them the €20 instead. You'll feel good about yourself. See there's your fortune told for ya and it means your cash will help someone instead of going to a con-artist.

I really will never understand how anyone could be fooled into thinking fortune telling and ESPECIALLY tarot card reading has ANY merit or truth behind it, its a fools game.

you're future's pretty bleak if you think that handing over cash to those fools is gonna do anything remotely useful - there you go, that'll be €20 please (and yes, I dorealise that I have deemed myself to be a fool :( )

Everyone has different beliefs and obviously this isnt the kind of advice angeleyes is lokoing for, no one has answered her question instead offerred thier own opinions which basically probably made her feel like an idiot?
    tsk tsk tsk

I dont know where there are any but I suggest looking in the telephone book under metaphysical shops or something along that line.
I'd read your cards for free if I were in town ;)

    thanks Beat

gimme ur name and number and I will be onto u.

However, I might add I am at a crossroads in my life. I have had 2 failed ivfs and just want someone to tell me something different. Even if it is a load of old balls, it might give me some light relief in a particularly difficult time in my life. Hey €20 might be funnier and better than €60 to a counsellor !

    This is my online psychic

    http://stores.ebay.com/THE-EYE-OF-A-PSYCHIC-MEDIUM_W0QQsspagenameZl2QQtZkm

She is good, she knew stuff staright away and I was like, whoahh!

But I'm not sure, she talks to dead people and she said that some of my family who had did were there with her and wanted to say stuff to me. I was kinda flummoxed with that whole side of it, I don't know and it made life feel kind of cheap when some woman you don't know can tell you whats gonna happen.

But then again, she did tell me some very interesting, juicy things about my friends! Thats never bad.

If you do go down the fortune teller road, take it with a pinch of salt.

You see the problem is that you've used "fortune" and "fact" in the same sentence here. I would love to see your facts, as would the rest of the scientific community I'm sure.
I see a nobel prize on the horizon....

A good tarot card reader would agree woth you. A person begins by mentally asking a question. Therefore their mind is focussed on an issue with which they want to deal. The cards are quite general, given emotional states of mind, or possible directions, which the person then mentally applies to the situation.

In essence, it makes a person stop and think about a situation, where before they would not have taken the time nor had the inclination to do so. I've been doing readings for years, and that's my take on it. What doe shte method matter if it helps the person develop, think about themsleves and/or solve a situation?

I'll hold me hands up here I've actually been to a fortune teller before and, yes I must admit, she was impressive in what she could tell me about my life and past. The woman would definitely have rivalled Derren Brown in the blow your mind stakes. However, therein lies my central point, Derren Brown freely admits that there's no magic in anything that he does, that it's a mixture of hypnosis, suggestion and trickery. I can't explain how that woman knew so much about my past, maybe there is some form of intuitive gift, I don't know. One thing I'm pretty sure of though is that the future isn't pre-determined and thus can't be "foreseen" in any crystal ball, tarot cards etc.

Go out of curiosity by all means, but don't try to replace counselling with mumbo jumbo, angeleyes. From what I know of IVF, two failed attempts is entirely normal, doesn't it take at least 3 or four treatments for most people to be successful?

One will fill you full of platitudes, the other will help you deal with the issues your facing. Easy choice tbh, mental health isn't something I'd go to ALDI for.
