Ok I know this is a film but it's never got a cinema release and is a low budget irish film.
It's very funny and it's on tomorrow night. Network 2 00:35.
The rte guide online says "Comedy drama in which a young Dubliner dreams of travelling abroad in search of opportunity and adventure"

    Anyone else seen it ?
The makers have a new film coming out towards the end of the year, can't remember the name now but anyway.
    Watch it.

Mods if you feel this should be in films then I apologise.

I went to see it in the IFC (now IFI), and thought it was crap.
The quality of acting was atrocious.

I know one of the actors in this film and I STILL wouldn't reccomend it to anyone.

    AVOID!

Saw it a few months ago..
The acting was bad but i enjoyed the film..Decent enough story and plot and some of the characters are good..
I thought it was good how it captured the whole dublin scumbag kinda thing
Also the scene when the main character is mugged is really good and realistic

Lance Daly was the director. His new film is called 'The Halo Effect' and stars Stephen Rea. Don't know when it's coming out but I heard from Wuzza Conlon that it's pretty damn good (even if his scene did end up on the cutting room floor).

I emailed Lance before and he said it would be August or sometime like that can't really remember.

I watched it - wasn;t mad on it but at least the scumbag accents were pretty authentic for once, usually they're a Billy Barry or Brennan's bread ad shambles
