K, I haven't really thought this through much but I was thinking of a Extreme Sports Jam, either in UL or in the city. If we got all the sports together, we will end up with hundreds of ppl plus we might be in with a chance of getting noticed by the council.

I know the UL board are sick to death of ppl, in the campus, so I'd say they'd be more than happy to accomadate a jam, once they know its for a park.

Get the bmxers, skaters, bladers and anyone else just together for an easy goin jam. Get a few local businesses involved, attract a bit of attention.

Best way to a park i can think of.

Heh, i dont think it went ahead really. But there was a HUGE BMX/skate involvement during Riverfest 2006. Hundreds to thousands of people watched in Arthurs Quay Park and then for a while along the Riverfront!
