Hmmm if you want to go to a physical store well.. it's been my experience that the online competition nearly always beats the local stores hands down; in Ireland anyway....

Well shopping online; i would start with Dell http://www.dell.ie and Elara http://www.elara.ie . I think Dell introduced a new laptop an Inspiron 1000 from 899; should be suitable for internet and office work; though anything moderately graphically intense could be hard pushed...

    Good Luck. ;)

Watch out for jes , remember the keyboard layout will be slightly different which can be very annoying (i always forget that).
