I remember this was posted a few days ago in this forum, scroll down the list of threads and you'll find it.

It's a decent offer though, good value for money, apparently the other europeanns got the same PC but with a 9800xt AIW instead.

If anyone thinking of the printer on sale the same day...
"Lexmark All-in-One Printer X5150" I think this might be the same one
a friend got rebadged from dell. Looks almost the same.

If it is this one - great printer - but The ink cartriges are the Smallest I've ever
seen and they are pricey to replace.

Rule number one :Never buy a Lexmark Printer.
They cost a damn fortune to run .
Better off to get a Canon or a HP.

I bought a cheap Lemark for a relative and I think its awful. Jams every couple of pages. Waste of money. He things its great value for money. But then I give him free tech support on the dang thing.

That's one of those ones with solitare on it, isn't it!

The case looks alright I suppose, you know those big maxtor drives, does it matter much that they run at 5400rpm?

It will be noticeably slower. Depends what you are using it for.

Seems like my first post was deleted so I'll ask again....do they still sell this at Maplins? I got one there a few years ago and went back last year to get another but they didn't have any. The guy there, in fact, had never even heard of them.

Where does it say that it runs @ 5400rpm and not 7200rpm?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,010 ✭✭✭Raoul Duke

Thanks. Are there any places in Dublin that sell them though or is only through the post?

regards the printers, I bought the Epson c42ux a good while back for next to nothing. The ink cartriges are a rip off but I got loads of stuff from http://www.jrinkjet.co.uk including the reset thing. Its brilliant and saves me a fortune on ink.

Back on topic at last. I managed to snag one of those PC's in Lidl Roscrea this morning. They only had one in so I was lucky.

Loads of dissapointed punters, I do love a Lidl stampede!
