I want to buy one from komplett.ie

I noticed that the black color is the cheapest, so I emailed them, asking what was the difference why is it cheaper then the other similar cases? they told me that the black one comes without a mounting kit

I have no idea, what a hell can a mounting kit be(It can be lots of things), so I emailed them back asking about that mounting kit, they could not answer, they said they are going to check with one of their purchasers, I haven't heard from them since!

Oneone owns that case and can tell me what a mounting kit is?

    Thanks!

No idea...mine is a black dragon chieftec. It doesn't have a removable motherboard tray, and it has those screw on rails for the optical drives meaning you can slide them in and out without having to unscrew them.

No idea what a mounting kit is....

    MasterOfSolos, is your full tower?

    does it have legs?

fan mounts? 3 in the front(2 if not a full tower) 2 at the back

Oh um, mine would be the midi tower I guess.

Yep it has legs. 2 in the front and 2 at the back for fan mounts.

hmm, I don't think there is anything else left to mount!:D

    I just have no idea!

Just emailed crazypc.com, maybe they'll answer my question, cause in their specifications, it says mounting kit: included

Damn! I hate when a company doesn't know what a hell are they selling!

Thanks for your fast replies MasterOfSolos!

Mounting kit sounds like the removable motherboard tray to me.

btw, do you realise how utterly massive this case is? :)

Stephen, nah! they are non removable! whole chieftec dragon series line

yeah! it's heavy! 15KG! that's why I don't want to purchase it and then send it back! it will be head ache!

Sounds like the HDD "trays" (theres two of em in a midi tower they hold 2 or 3 HDDs each). Sounds a bit retarded not to include them though.

I think the mounting kit is something i bought in their clearance sale.
It allows you to put the case on sliding rails .
Never use it just a gimmick.
    I have the black case.
    Great case.

    Did you buy from Komplett?

    Did it come with screws?

did it have a place to mount a fan on the side or not?

    MisterAnarchy, one more question

Did they supply those clips that go into the case onto which you screw your mobo on?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,956 ✭✭✭✭MisterAnarchy

They supplied pieces for screwing the mobo in Yes.
Basically I got a little brown box with lots of bits and bobs in it.
    Plenty of spares left over.
I presume they still do so.
