What is it with female presenters?!

I've been watching Bill Oddies BBC2 progs on and off over on BBC this week he is co-hosting with Kate Humble
(great name) he is a model of quiet enthusiasm she on the other hand is prone to throwing her arms about the place as her voice rises and falls as she seeks to EMPHASISE everything. The same thing happened on the Venus Transit coverage, also BBC, this time it was by some bint who made Humble look positively coy. I actually laughed at one point as she outdid herself with witless enthusiasm.

Whats going on? Is it a wimmin thing or an age thing (both the co-presenters were a generation younger than thier male counterparts) or it just the way TV presentation gurus think thing should be. Give me some whispered nothings from David Attenborough anyday!

    Mike.

it just the way TV presentation gurus think thing should be

    Thar be the reason.

The "gurus" think that a serious person should be offset by an eejit and they're also into the ole stereotypes of women as being giggly and annoying. Replace human presenters with robots, says I.
