Hey i was just wondering if anyone could help me out, you know the Binocolars that you see cops using in films, ie 'Replacment Killers'. They have night vision and really strong magnification. they can usually zoom in or out with the touch of a button and have a digital display on screen telling the distance of the object etc...

Now i want to buy a pair but to be honest i dont really know if they exist, if they are just made up for the film or not. Any information?

Is it just me or do these two stats seem particularly poor?

    MAGNIFICATION : 3.4 X
    WEIGHT : 1.2 Kg

Yeah right. What possible use could you have for them, other than spying on people?

what the **** are you on about? I like all them sort of gadgets im not spying on anyone, i want a pair of binoculars that you can see through the day and night with. What are you saying?

Well, I mean seriously. What are you gonna be looking at? At night time? A normal pair of binoculars alright, maybe you like to watch birds, or look across the coast or something, but night vision? A device that magnifies distant objects, in the dark... I can only come to one conclusion.

What's the next step? Heat vision? X-Ray vision?

Actually im starting as lifeguard and the binoculars the council provide are crap and give me a pain in my head when i look through them so my own pair would be nice. Also i want them at night for foxes or anything at all really? its just an interest whats so wrong with it?

HA.... bow down to my amazing powers of deduction.

I can't believe nobody else wanted to know what you intended to use them for.

I've been reading Sherlock Holmes lately. It's all very simple once you've exhausted all logical conclusions.

Here boss.. .my DV camcorder has night vision on it. 100x magnification and with an external IR light on it, it's good for about 100m in complete darkness. I'll rent it to ya for yer em.. "fox watching" sessions. Good rates :D
