here's the story, Im trying to renew my commercial van insurance for this year. Premium is €4450 for several reasons. mainly cos i had a crash 3 years ago which still hasnt been settled. The insurance companies went 50/50 cos they couldnt decide whos fault it was and i think there may be an injury claim still outstanding. For this reason and because im 22 and the van is a 1.9tdi the price is so high. Nothing I can do about that. The problem is quinn wont give me direct debit over the year because i missed a payment last year by a day and i dont have the money to pay the full premium. I cant find anyone else that will insure me as i've had a claim in the last 5 years and i cant get a loan or anything to pay it off over the year.

does anyone know of an insurance company that will quote somebody with a claim in the last 5 years? id be prepared to pay the high price which i know it will be but i need to be able to pay it off over the year.

I used to get a loan to pay off my insurance. Hibernian insisted I pay my bike insurance in one chunk, so I got a loan off the bank, and paid it off monthly.

You may need to fill out the application creatively though ;)
