Anyone at the Iggy Pop gig in Dublin Castle on sunday ?
Was it me or was the sound absolutely desperate ?

I was at the show and you're probably right, the sound was a little off, but that didn't stop it from being such a great concert; it was just so fun. Iggy is the man.

My real gripe was the fact that they only played for little more than an hour. When you pay nearly €40 a ticket, you'd expect a little more. Sure it was only starting to get dark outside.

I was there. Was at all the gigs in Dublin castle at the weekend. Taught Iggy Pop was the worst of the 4 nights.

I wasn't at it but would have loved to go ... the only thing that stopped me was the venue .. I reckon Dublin Castle is one of the worst venues in Ireland ... the sound is always woeful. I saw The Hives there and was bitterly disappointed ... not with the band , but the venue as I said . I vowed never to go to a gig there again ... no matter who plays ...

Then saw the Hives play Witnness and it was a million times better - which is surprising considering they were playing the main stage , in a big f.uck off field at 5pm in the afternoon

    Dublin Castle = Woeful.

What? Do work for a heineken or what, i presume you didn't buy tickets for all nights.

Iggy Pop, usen't he strip off totally at gigs before?? does he still do it?

Dublin Castle as a venue: I went to the Morrissey gig, the venue this year was the garden of the castle(I believe in previous years it had been the courtyard). I thought it was an excellent venue with excellent sound. One of the better outdoor gigs i have been too because of the size it held the atmosphere and sound very well.
