I want to install a Sky+ myself and just have a few queries


Does the Sky+ Box come included with a Quad LNB?

Can I use standard CT100 satellite cable?

Which Sky+ box is more reliable Amstrad or Pace?

Will a self install infringe on my warranty?

I already have an existing box and I want to get a mirror subscription for this how to I get this directly from sky?

Most grateful if someone could help me out

amstrad = rare pace=the one I have, the newer pace boxes are not around long enough in my opinion to give an answer to that
self install will not infringe warranty.
For the mirror sub, just ring sky and they will send out the new card and contract.

The current offer from Sky is installation of Sky+ and relocation of existing digibox for just €15,if you do not mind a wait.

It would cost this for the cable,phonewire and clips etc if you were doing it yourself, so I would not bother.

I installed my own Sky+ and relocated and set up my mirror, but this was in Feb when the installation costs were still high.

Well €75 Compared to €15:D

Personally I enjoyed the challenge of doing it and I spent about €35 on materials, so I did not actually save that much.
