Cool, I've been waiting for Living to set a start date for ages :D

The first episode was absolutely terrible.

It played like 'Touched by an Angel' for the teenage crowd. This is not a good thing.

The dialogue was truly awful, specifically Joan's conversation with her brother about the existence of God. The serial killer sub-plot is an incredibly lazy, cliched way of creating some excitement.

Does the show miraculously improve by 10,000% percent or something?

I have to say that I am very dissapointed in this piece of crap. It played like a movie of the week. I hate the characters and you just know that the whole show is just born out of what the creators think the watchers want. Where is the soul? I hated it, I could barely watch the last 20 minutes out of it. But I did like Joan's joking about how she can count "way past ten..."
    The rest was crap.

I didn't think it was that bad, to be honest I don't know what to make of it yet. We have only been introduced to half the cast so far and we have barely touched the surface of those we have met. I intend to give it a few more episodes before I make a judgement one way or another. The only bad thing I will say about it so far is that Mary Steenbergen is dreadful as the mother, the women can't act her way out of a paper bag!

Someone mentioned this to me today so I tuned in. Not too preachy is the best thing I can say about it. Not interesting would be the most realistic assessment.
