I have although it didn't do much difference to the sound iirc.

Maybe they were talking about an active bass? If it's active - I have no idea if you can or not.

It a very big NO. Definitely.

The regular Cry Baby will suck the bejesus out of your low frequncies and even the sweetest bass tone will sound like a Tiesco through a cardboad box.

There's a Cry Baby specifically for bass AFAIK.

You can do it I alright, but you don't get a full wah sound out of it, doesnt sound the best.

What you want is the 105q, specially designed to handle the bass frequencies, have one myself and its great. Exactly how you imagine it to sound, and it has a little EQ adjuster aswell.

    Dunlop 105q

As far as I'm aware it's fairly easy to mod a regular wah to suit the bass, it's just a matter of adjusting the pot position. Don't know if it works with the Cry baby but I do know a guy who modded wahs to suit a bass guitar and a mandolin.

I'm sure there is a website somewhere with more information.
