Hard Drive?

    Want to get a new HD for the folks pc, but i dont know what make the mother board is, so i dont know what kind of HD to get, and i cant figure it out over the phone. Any ideas?
    I'm very rusty on these matters.
    The system is a PII350 Mhz with 128 MB Ram.

    Any IDE hard disk should do. That machine is too old to have SATA and its unlikely that it would have had SCSI. A machine that old might not be able to see past ~127GB though, so this may limit the size of disk you can install (to get the full use out of it).

    I only want to put in about 40GB anyways.
    Does it not matter if its ATA 100 or 133?

    ATA 100 is your best bet.

    ata100 and 133 drives are backwards compatible with older mainboards.

    you shouldn't have a problem with putting a 40gig drive in that computer, it's was made a good while after the 8.4gb barrier was broken.

    just go for any old ata100 hard drive
