MMS between different networks..?

Howdy, quick "newb" question, if I may...?

Was going to buy a Sagem My-V65 for my kid's birthday, but a nice young lady ;) in Carphonewarehouse told me that because this model is "exclusive" to Vodafone, even if you subsequently get it unlocked you can only send picture messages to Vodafone or O2 customers, not Meteor — and, vice versa, if you get a Nokia 3200 with Meteor, you can only send picture messages to other Meteor users, not Vodafone or O2....

Anyone know if this is true?
(two words, if so... car, tel :()

Sending MMS across networks depends on the networks providing the service and not the handset. So, once O2/Vodafone and Meteor come to an agreement and implement a solution, you should be able to send regardless of the MMS enabled phone you have.

    Cheers, Superman.

How do the "big two" get away with that anyone-but-Meteor stuff...?
Are they afraid of the competition?

Meteor just didnt get of their arse in time to get on the negotiations and work invovled in sending MMS accross two different networks.

All they want to do is moan and bitch about how poorly treated they are and get hand outs from Comreg and complain about this and that.

Try to deal with them over something and you will find Muppets manning the phones at every corner. Even their football team is hated!

I believe it is being worked on now... no idea of timescales though.

Meteor were late launching their GPRS network and before they can come to an agreement for MMS between other networks they first have to test MMS on their own network.
