speculation on where Muzzy Izzet would end up signing for has ended , as he has signed a 3 year deal for Birmingham . This has ended Mustapha's 8 year spell with Leicester , and the 29 year old will link up with former team mate Robbie Savage .

there was a lot of clubs after him , what do yee all think of him going to Birmingham ?

I think it's a great move for both parties concerned as he's a class player.
I reckon they have a good chance at achieving a European spot next year.

    B.

Yeah, moving to a premiership team from relegated Leicester at age 29... what a mercenary.

Maybe he was on 30,000 a week a Leicester cause he's their best player , and in reality he's too good for division one .

So instead of signing a new contract with a division one team he decided he might play for a team that wont be fighting relegation every year .

Its a brilliant move for Brimingham. They are starting to have a really great squad and wouldnt be surprised if they got in to europe. Izzet is a great player and its also a great move for him.

I dont know I thought he was good, but I never really wanted Villa to sign him I dont think he would get picked ahead of McCann or Hitz the Hammer.

I think they have a decent squad but doubt they will get any higher than 7th next year.

But hey I'm a Villa Fan;)

If Birmingham can hold on to Forssell they'll do really well next season. Izzet is a good signing and I reckon Heskey will do well with them.

There was no real speculation, he was going to Birmingham a month ago. He's guaranteed 1st team football there, something he might not have got at Villa, good move for Brum. Even better move keeping Forsell, he's the only reason they did so well this season, without him they're utter ****e.

It has to be said I was delighted when Bruce (aka Mr. Potato Head aka The Elephant Man) signed that donkey Heskey... all the Leicester boys reunited, they deserve to get relegated for that move alone.

If Forsell has another good season they'll finish mid table again otherwise I think they'll be found out and struggle.

Oh cool sorry hadn't heard that. Good move for them. Although does anyone else feel he'd be a useful player for Chelsea to hold on to?

Jesper Gronkjaer signed for 2.2mil now as well....looking like a gud squad

A good buy for Birmingham. Bruce is obviously trying to introduce a bit more attacking/scoring power to the team.

Heskey and Gronkjaer are brutal. They´ve spent 8 million on 2 donkeys. Forssel is exceptional though, Dunn is overrated, They´ve an average backline too Cunningham is a year older & slower, their full backs are dirt. Savage will run all day and make life difficult but football's more about what you do WITH the ball, not what you do without it. I don´t know why people are getting excited about them.....

Boro have signed Reiziger, Jimmy the pimp, Viduka and Mendieta (permanently) for 4 million less than the 8 Birmingham have spent on Heskey & Gronkjaer. Owen Hargreaves or Nicky Butt are on their way in aswell. If anyone looks like mounting a challenge on the top 6 it´s Boro.

since your giving your comments on Birmingham's team mind telling us what u think of Muzzy Izzet , after all thats what this thread is about .

Izzet is decent enough. I think O´Leary was after him, as was John Gregory, and Brian Little before that. According to those opta stats thingamajigs, Izzet had more assists than any other in the Premiership last season. That´s not bad at all for a midfielder playing at Leicester City. They were mostly free-kicks and corners though...... still, it´s an impressive statistic

If you look through the entire Premiership you'd struggle to find a list of ten players who are excellent from corners and free kicks. A good dead ball specialist is quite an asset for a team (especially one like Birmingham who are low scorers).

As for Dunn. He is over-rated. A couple of seasons ago he looked like a very good player with potential for lots of goals but now I think he normally looks slow, bulky and overweight.

Birmingham are a pack of one season wonders they finish 3 places above villa in 03 and they act like they`ve won the european cup. They have invested poorly in signing Jesper couldnt cross a ball to save his life Gronjkaer and Emile slow and fat and couldnt shoot for sh1t heskey.
