    Hey,

I've been trying to delete two files but xp says they are corrupt and unreadable. ive tried to run chkdsk but it says that it can unlock the drive and would i like to schedule a scan at startup. i did this but upon startup xp says it can unlock current drive and is continuing with boot. when i try to defrag it tells me to run chkdsk /f first but this just outs me in the loop again.

    any help appreciated.

    thanks,
    tom

disk keeper pro should help you out.

Or delete the files in safe mode if you need them move them to another folder while you chkdsk.

Also make sure you tick the 2 boxes when running chkdsk.
