I've been buying the evening Herald for a while now in Limerick and I bought it on Monday it was 50c.

I bought it today on O Connell Street in Dublin today and it was €1

Has the price gone up or is it cheaper to buy the herald in the country

Well I am back in limerick and the herald is 50 cent again. and I have been told that it was 50 cent in limerick yesterday as well. So either our herald is being subsidised for some reason or else people in dublin are being ripped off.

Another paper ripping people off, Ireland on Sunday.
80p in the north, €1.60 (or €1.80) in the south.

Is the shop you are buying it in affiliated with, or very close to, the university? If so, you may be getting a student rate.

    no its not.

I have noticed that all the shops in Limerick I have been in are selling the herald for 50 cent. It is printed on the paper itself.

As for Ireland On Sunday. You would expect it to be cheaper in the north than the south. not that it is right but you wouldnt expect a paper to try to get away with haveing a paper different prices in the same duristiction like the herald are doing.

Out of curiosity How much is the metro edition of the Independent in Dublin

The herald has been on a price promotion in the West lately at 50c, it's going back up shortly.

(I work for a supermarket and there was a memo recently asking shops in those areas to stop ordering the herald cos the lower price couldnt be set up on some stores systems but not others)
