20 mins in and its 1-0 to England. Think we have the starting england team on show

    James

    G.Neville
    Campbell
    Terry
    Cole

    Lampard

    Beckham
    Gerrard

    Scholes

    Owen
    Rooney

Good shot by gerrard, got hold of it really well and owen on the follow up when the keeper fumbled. Ray wilkins has the most boring voice in the world, hes sounds like hes on anti-depressants. Gerrard is getting forward really well.

1- 1 good goal from Japan, Beckham fell asleep and the player just wandered in around the back of him and set up the goal.

True. There class. They were also good against Iceland.

Who scored for them by the way?

A draw was a fair result IMO England started very well but stopped playing after they scored.

Japan are a very good side but another poor friendly performance from England

    England are a funny side.

They can be giants on any given day against a big name team.

Give them a team that they should walk over and they become complacent and end up looking awful.

Its poor management if nothing else.

True it appears that Eriksson can't be arsed with friendlies and that appears to rub off on the players

As soon as Japan lost me a bet by beating Czech republic away from home I was shocked as the Czech's probably had the lowest odd's in the accumalator. I wouldn't have been shocked if they beat England tonight though. Japan had won 6 of their last 7 matches AFAIK before this match. Its the first time i've seen them play since the WC and I am really impressed. It took them a while to settle in though.

Harry2001 - England started good but that only last a half hour at most, Japan were the better side for the last 60mins. They also should have got a penalty.

England should be banned from playing friendlies! They approach them with the wrong attitude - as in "So what?"

    Mike.

edit did'nt spot what harry already said!

Happens in competitive games against the lowly nations too.
