Monitor Problem

    As of this afternoon when I switched on my computer, my monitor decided it didn't want to work.
    It has power but there is no picture.
    I thought maybe the graphics card was the problem, but it's not because I'm using a different monitor now and it's working fine.
    So it must be the video in cable or something has broken inside. I don't know why this might have happened. It was working fine all last night and hasn't been moved or even touched.
    I did try fiddling with the video in and I got a picture for a few seconds then it went blank again.
    If it is the video in, can that be replaced?
    The monitor is a Dell M991 and is well past it's warranty.
    Any thoughts?

    I did try fiddling with the video in and I got a picture for a few seconds then it went blank again.

    OK, check to see if any of the pins are broken, also how old is the monitor.

    Nope, no broken pins.
    It's almost 2 and a half years old.

    Can somebody recommend a place that will fix monitors?
    South Dublin preferably.
