Broadband and VPN

I have recently upgraded from ISDN to Broadband. As I work from Home, I use my laptop to access the office servers using VPN. This worked fine with the ISDN line, but I can't get full access with broadband. Using Broadband I can access the NT server but not the e-mail server for example. I can still dial-up on the landline (same laptop) and gain access, so I am assuming all the IP addresses are OK. Does anyone have any ideas?

well its possible your routing tables are a bit off an its trying to make the connections to your mail server via the web directly and not your vpn connection.
you could try manually setting the routes to the vpn...

Did you switch ISP as well? Your new ISP might be blocking some ports.

Using your dial-up connection, do a tracert to one of the services that you're missing over broadband. Switch to broadband, and do the same. Post the results here.

    TomK,
I have stayed with Eircom. So no change there. I ran the tracert as suggested and there was no difference between both. Both traced the route to the server IP address over 30 hops. The first 1 of 30 for both connections (dial-up and broadband) came back with the same result, and the remaining 29 gave time out errors. When I ran tracert with the dial-up I had broadband disconnected and vice versa.
One thing I noticed when I re-connected the Broadband usb cable. I got a "Secure Remote pop-up" telling me that "security policy was re-loaded on interface change"

Just a guess, your home network and office are using the same ip range (something like 192.168.0.x) you will be able to connect to your office lan but no traffic flows. Reconfigure the netopia. When connetc try ipconfig /all from a command pormpt.
