    Anyone seen this - seems to be worth a look

    Shoppingbill.com is a new Irish website, which aims to save you time and money when you do your supermarket shopping. It's a professionally run, independent service and it's FREE. Advertising and sponsorship cover all running costs. Shoppingbill is a fairplay environment where everybody - shoppers, retailers and manufacturers - can come together and have their say.

    We update the site every Wednesday with all the latest news on prices, special offers and new products, etc.

    Dear Bill is the place to make your own voice heard, and to tell others what you see going on in shops around the country, especially the good things. Feel free to ask questions, as we might be able to make enquiries on your behalf.

    Why was Shoppingbill set up?
    Since the rise to power of Rip Off Ireland, and the injuries to the Celtic Tiger, there has been unprecedented media exposure of the high cost of living in Ireland, and even a government publicity campaign to encourage us to be more 'price aware'.

    While you can surf the net for bargains galore, and compare prices on most things from hotels in Hollywood to hampers in Hungary you couldn't find out the best deal down at the supermarket. Now with Shoppingbill you can.

    Whose behind Shoppingbill?
    Shoppingbill.com is run by professional consumers. People who have families and jobs, and have worked for over 25 years in supermarkets and the food industry.

    Shoppingbill.com is independent. It is the customers interests that we have at heart. Information on the site is presented in a way we think a typical shopper would see it. We also believe retailers and manufacturers have a right to their say too, so we are glad to offer them that opportunity.

    How does Shoppingbill work?
    At the beginning of every week, we visit branches of the 6 major supermarkets to gather pricing data and find out what's new. Some information also comes direct from the companies themselves. We also carry out our own investigations and tastings to try and present the fairest review of products and prices. In addition to our own recommendations we do encourage manufacturers and retailers to promote their own efforts.
