When my HD is idling for 5 minutes or so(the clicking is randon) it gives out kinda strange clicking noise, and no it's not the noise when it's being accessed, it's different, when you turn your laptop off and the second it turns off it makes that kinda "Popping sound" right? that's the sound it makes!

and I can't understand what a hell is the reason! :dunno:

Does anyone have any idea what could it be?

    Thanks!

Sounds like the "click of death". HD is probably on it's way out, better backup your stuff and then run some tests on it.

It could just be the power management turning the device off to conserve battery power ?

it's running on the AC adapter so no power consumption, and I have "Turn off disks" disabled in power options

I got screen changed on the laptop, and when it came back, since then(2 days) it had this damn sound! everytime i'm not looking at the laptop and it gives out that noise, I think laptop turned off! it gets on the nerves!
