Ok This is a weird problem

    SBS 2000
    Exchange 2000

    POP E-mail hosting

Ok here is the problem , we are using Exchnage e-mail and using Exchange to route it internaly,

Some time a user will get the an e-mail that they have already recieved in their in box maybe 3 weeks later in a unread state,

this is happening all users and only happens sometimes, never happens from internal mail only external e-mail address only

has anyone every seen this before in Exchange 2000 ? using POP or SMTP mail?

No although I found the exact same problem using Outlook XP with a Unix POP3 server.

By any chance do the users in question have mail filtering rules set up?
