    would you go for this?
price is good, and has alot of the same stuff as ipod, like the hard drive capabilities... also has a line in which the ipod doesnt, as well as a built in radio, but I just dont know if id be able to trust it or not...
Id say the software isnt as good as itunes, nor is the speed as its usb rather than firewire

Im honestly not sure TBH, ive never heard of the brand .

As another option you could go with a known decent brand like creative ? The Zen 30gb is only €295 on www.computeruniverse.net . Fantastic quality, decent volume, good brand...........ohh and also there a good company too.

Typhoon... didn't they make cheap speakers back in the 486 days? Possibly mice and other stuff like that too.

you could go for a 20gb iriver for another 100 which does have a radio and is arguably better than the ipod anyway.

Well since this is turning into another "You'd be better off with...." thread, here's my 2c

Get yourself a Rio Karma, they're great. They're the smallest HD based DAP I've seen, they have massive battery life, play pretty much any format, delivers amazing sound quality, has a damn cool dock with phono and ethernet connections and has a damn easy to use interface. The main problem is that it can't be used as a USB hard disk, but apparantly that's going to be fixed in the next firmware version.

Altogether, highly recommended. There's a thread out there on it already, search the forum for karma.

i've got a few TYPHOON products before - DVD player & speakers and a load of computer components and ive never had one problem with any of them. In fact they are quite good quality - the 5.1 speakers have amazing sound quality....
