Terrestrial Aerial & New Sky install - Interference

A quick question if I may!!

My current set up as a result of a number of house moves is 2 No. sky boxes connected to my main box - one uk card and the other FTV.

Due to lack of phone line I was only able to get sky install in new house yesterday.

To compensate, I installed a new outdoor terrestrial aerial with mains powered amp connected via my global link 8 way splitter in my attic.

Once I had connected the terrestrial feed to the "chain" my 2 No. spare boxes were transmitting the signal around the house perfectly withg the exception of the main box which is suffering from horizontal lines.

I have tried changing the RF no. on the setup menu but after 5 - 6 attempts have given up.

I have looked up peats website for possibly a attenuator to allow me to adjust the signal strength but was informed by a very helful member of peats staff that what I required was a diplexer.

    Are peats correct ??

    Any replies would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Alfa

    Tony,

I will have to put my brain in gear - I have complicated the process by using a RF modulator to broadcast dvd's and video feeds around the house! I have checked that they are not causing a problem themselves. I shall check my setup tonight and do a quick sketch of how I have all the equipment fed.

    Thanks

    Alfa,

p.s. recently purchased a quad lnb from your site - very impressed with the prompt and effecient response!!
