iPod repair service in Ireland

    is there one? the people in the mac store here in Dublin didnt have a clue and the iPod i have is dead in the water. "can't mount iPod" ....

    You have to return it directly to Apple - full information here

    Happened to my nephew last week and the courier delivered the box within twon days of him filling out the form on the net. If you have the ipod ready they will take it away there and then. He was told he should have it back inabout four days.

    its out of warrenty, its the 2nd generation one with a broken 20gig hard drive. :( such pity. i can always sell it on ebay for scraps.

    Wait, have you tried wiping it and reinstalling the firmware? It's likely it's just a firmware glitch.

    Have you tried 'restoring' it. Read the faqs on the apple site.

    www.mactivate.ie ,they are based in blanch.

    they do the vast majority of repairs for Apple in Ireland. They might repair it. Id hate to think how much it might cost though!
