How To Go About Starting A Permanent Rehearsal Room?

Well, as the title says: Does anyone know where to start in organising a permanent rehearsal room?

What I mean is, it's not "accomodation" we're looking for. Is there anywhere that lists what would be suitable rooms? Or is there a term for what I'm looking for? Also, does anyone know if there's any legal issues (apart from noise of course! :)) with using such a room?

Essentially, we just want a big room with electricity (+ water if poss) that's in the City centre and that we're free to make a bit of noise in.

Or, does ANYONE know of any permanent spaces available in town? I find it hard to believe there isn't more out there. There's an absolute killing to be made.

    Cheers in advance!

  • theres this place that me and my mates go to called Vertabrae Studios. Some young lad is startin up a recordin studio but hasn't enough money at the moment to do this.

So he has two rooms(one under constructoin) which have been soundproofed have great amps, a PA and a drum Kit there. IT's €50 for 5 hours but i'm sure that if you were a regular customer the price would drop

Its in Terenure by the way

you should get in touch with Peter Slankster who runs Creamy Sonic Studios near music maker.

These rooms are permanent and your given your own key to lock the room but AFAIK it's full but ya never know.

cant remember his email addy of the top of my head nor their website but he does post here with the username Creamy Sonic and i think that there is contact details for him in the resources thread above
