    Greetings!

I'm looking forward to this, even if it is bound to be an anti-climax. I'll be rooting for Wasps, as ruthless and filthy as they are! (I have them backed to win it outright).

So throughout the game I'll be updating periodically with the action...here's hoping it will be a good one.

    Teams

Wasps:15 Mark van Gisbergen, 14 Josh Lewsey, 13 Fraser Waters, 12 Stuart Abbott, 11 Tom Voyce, 10 Alex King, 9 Rob Howley, 1 Tim Payne, 2 Trevor Leota, 3 Will Green, 4 Simon Shaw, 5 Richard Birkett, 6 Joe Worsley, 7 Paul Volley, 8 Lawrence Dallaglio (capt).

Toulouse: 15 Clément Poitrenaud, 14 Emile Ntamack, 13 Yannick Jauzion, 12 Cédric Desbrosse, 11 Cédric Heymans, 10 Yann Delaigue, 9 Frédéric Michalak, 1 Patrice Collazo, 2 William Servat, 3 Jean-Baptiste Poux, 4 Fabien Pelous (capt), 5 Trevor Brennan, 6 Isitolo Maka, 7 Jean Bouilhou, 8 Christian Labit.

    Kick off 3 pm.

    Bit of a nervy opening.

Wasps lose a few balls in the tackle early on, and Toulouse make good ground. The Wasps kicking has been poor thus far.

Toulouse went into a 0-6 lead with two penalties. Van Gisbergen has just responded in kind.

17 mins gone, 3-6 to Toulouse.

20 minutes. Abbot crosses the line to touch down after some bruising and inventive play on the left wing. Voyce and Van Gisbergen did well, it was swung to the right side of the field and Abbot ghosted inside a tackler for a relatively easy 5 points. Conversion added.

    Wasps lead 10-6.

Delaigue misses a very kickable penalty. Toulouse are failing to capitalise on their supremacy.

Wasps start to turn the tide somewhat. This pressure results in Van Gisbergen kicking a huge penalty to make it 13-6 to Wasps with 32 mins gone.

Run up to half time vital.

Wow. A frenetic closing to the first half sees Toulouse earn a well deserved try. It was a bit scrappy in the end, but a ball broke lose on the right after some superb handling and off-loading and delaigue touched down. Failed miserably with the conversion effort though.

Half-time score: 13-11 in Wasps favour.

Just after the restart, superb try from Van Gisbergen. This guy is the business.

Great work from King, he offloads inside to Van G who just outpaces Maka and he crashes over the line right under the posts.

    20-11 to Wasps.

Superb final so far, with Wasps fighting a valiant rearguard action. Elissalde comes on and slots apeno to make it 20-14.

Both sides then exchange razor sharp breaks to and fro. Dallaglio has been binned for killing the ball, but crucially Wasps do not concede during his absence.

Worsley has been superb. If Wasps hang on to this it will be in no small part to this man.

After superb driving Wasps get within 15 metres of the Toulouse line, King recieved a poor pass and rattled the post with a great drop goal effort!

71 minutes gone, Dallaglio infringes in the lineout. Penalty to the french. Elissalde knocks it over. 20-17 to Wasps.

    UNBELIEVABLE!

I won't even try to explain what Poitrenaud has just done! That will haunt him!

    Well done Rob Howley.

27-20 to Wasps, following a superb conversion.

The ref blows it up on the next dead ball...Wasps are European champions. the Toulouse full-back has blown it.

What a superb final, so exciting, Touluse showed their moves and Wasps proved they are truly bastárd hard in their refusal to roll over and do what almost any other side in world rugby would have done-been overwhelmed.

for ****S sake, how did Toulouse lose that match to that pack of cheating Fúcks. Alain was brutal, he should have been handing out yellows in the first half. The worst possible team won the cup. dirty fúckers.

Also did anyone else think Michalak was throwing the match for some reason. He kicked away possession about 7 times in promising positions. No one else seemed to understand what he was trying to do. useless asshole.
