i have an abit nf7 motherboard, and i want to crank this baby up as high as she'll go. Its multiplier locked, so i can thank god i have an AGP lock thingy.

What FSB's and Vcore's should i be bumping up too? How high is it safe to bring the Vcore, and is that recommended for improving stability.

Currently i have the FSB at 190 and vcore is at 1.7.

i have the same motherboard and a xp 2500+ thats also locked
    have it at 1.9 vcore
220 fsb so 2.4 ghz its prime stable but does get hot underload about 60 degrees
you realy do need good air cooling for that high a vcore

Pc World selling Aero 7+ for 20€ that should do the job nicely.
I have a 2400XP at 2406 will get more so you should get more.

Check tweaking forum for links to cpu database.

i have a cooler master on my 1800+, and i think i'll switch them around. The coolermaster is better than the one i have in here at the moment. I'm at 60C at the moment, at only 1.75Vcore, with system running Prime95.

Despite heat, it seems to be stable at 193FSB and 1.75FSB. Time to get the good cooler on it, and crank up the RPM on it.

The best air cooling you can get is an Thermalright sp-97 with a 92mm fan on top but you pay for it. About 45 for the hs and another 10 for the fan. Don't forget artic silver 5 will reduce your temps by about 5-10c

Vcore 1.75, temp hovering at 60.5-61 degrees. I'm upping the FSB slowly until Prime95 reports errors.

If i upped the VCore any more, would the tempreture increase dramatically, and is this a safe temperature?

I'm also in the middle of overclocking my 9600Pro. Is there any program able to measure the tempreture of that card?
