I don't mean as a teleworker working from home rather than in the company office, but someone who has their own business working from home.

What do you do, and what problems did you encounter setting up your business?

My In-laws did, about 10 or 12 years ago. It's a small, family run business, with a warehouse in one of the business parks, and it's doing quite well.

As an outsider, the problems I see is never getting away from the office (it's beside the kitchen :D ), the temptation/requirement to work late and the whole work life/personal life balance.

I wasn't around when they set it up, but if there is anything specific you want me to ask, I can find out.

Thats been my experience as an employee, plus I've had to commute aswell. So I don't see that as different myself.

I've worked from home as a contractor and a freelancer in the past. Personally I found myself very distracted at home. If you can rent some office space that would have suited me better.

Exact same, god it was hard to get motivated, also very anti social as I was working on my own, no one to talk to all day. Would not really consider it again unless there was a nice bit of money involved
